Three divers represented Nebraska at the NCAA Zone D Championships in Madison, Wis. from March 7-8. This event, hosted at Soderholm Aquatic Center, serves as a qualifier for nationals.
Sara Troyer placed 15th in the three meter prelims on Tuesday to send her to the finals. The senior from Goshen, Ind. ended the day with a score of 581.60 to finish in 18th. In the one meter, Troyer scored a 253.95 and placed 23rd.
Senior Hallie Roman and Sophomore Reagan Hinze made their zones debut this week. Hinze (Conroe, Texas) finished in 28th in the one meter with a 250.00 and 29th in the three meter with a 264.70, while Roman placed 32nd in the one meter with a 234.70.
Minnesota's Sarah Bacon continued her successful season, sweeping the one meter and three meter at zones after winning both events at the 2022 Big Ten Championships.
While NU's divers have closed their season, senior swimmer Autumn Haebig is set to represent the Huskers at the NCAA Championships next week in the 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle.
