NU Hosts Indiana in Final Home Series

The Nebraska softball team is set to finish regular season play at Bowlin Stadium this weekend, May 6-8. The Huskers will host Indiana for a three-game series. The first game is set for Friday, May 6 at 5:30 p.m. (CT). Game two is set for Saturday at 4 p.m. (CT) and will include Senior Day festivities after the game. The final game will be Sunday at 12 p.m. (CT). Saturday's game will be broadcasted live on the Big Ten Network while games one and three will be streamed live on BTN+ (subscription required). Fans can listen to the action live for all three games on the Huskers Radio Network or Huskers.com with the call from Nate Rohr and Mattie Fowler Burkhardt. 
 

The weekend's series features the Big Ten's second-ranked Nebraska and ninth-ranked Indiana. The Hoosiers (26-19) enter the weekend with a 9-11 record in league play while the Huskers (35-13) carry a 15-4 Big Ten record. Nebraska leads the conference in numerous offensive categories including batting average, hits, home runs, RBIs, total bases, slugging percentage and on-base percentage. Indiana ranks among the top five in batting average, runs, doubles, home runs, RBIs, total bases and slugging percentage. 
 

The Hoosiers are coming off of a 1-2 series loss to Illinois. The Fighting Illini claimed the first two games (6-4, 2-0) before Indiana earned a 3-2 victory in 11 innings. In a midweek matchup last week, the Hoosiers claimed two games over Purdue in a doubleheader. Indiana has tallied series victories over Rutgers and Purdue but has fallen to Ohio State, Northwestern, Illinois, Wisconsin and Penn State.
