This week, the Nebraska soccer team (8-2-3, 2-1-2 Big Ten) hosts Iowa for Senior Day on Saturday, Oct. 7 at 1:05 p.m. (CT) as the Huskers look for their third conference victory of the season.

- The NCAA released the third RPI of the season on Monday, and Nebraska is ranked 24th.
- Nebraska’s devoted fan base has continued its strong attendance numbers at Hibner Stadium this season. In five matches this season, NU welcomed 5,599 fans overall, an average of 1,120 per contest. This average ranks 21st nationally and is fourth in the Big Ten.
- Dale earned her third Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honor this week as she currently leads the country and conference in total goals (17) and game-winning goals (6), while also leading the conference in shots (76), shots on goal (35) and points (36). Last week, she scored four finishes combined, including a game-winner in the Huskers’ 3-2 victory over Northwestern. Additionally, she’s tallied seven braces in just 13 games this season.
- Junior forward Weber has continued her strong offensive attack as she is second in the conference standings in shots (58) and shots on goal (25), and seventh in goals (6) and points (17).
- As a team, the Huskers are fifth in the nation in shots per game (20.77), fifth in assists per game (3.08), eighth in points per game (8.62) and tied for seventh in total goals (36).
- In the goal, senior Sami Hauk has recorded 48 saves and is currently fourth in the conference standings in saves per game (3.69).
- NU enters the week tied for third in the conference standings with eight points (three points for a win, one point for a tie).
- Four of NU’s six freshman have seen the pitch so far this year, led by Reese Borer who has played 214 minutes.
- The Huskers’ six goals against Eastern Washington marked the most finishes the Huskers have tallied in a regular season match since the 2011 victory against Northern Arizona (8-1) and the most goals on the road since the win in 2009 at Kansas (7-4). Additionally, that was the first time since NU’s victory over Missouri in 2021 that the Big Red has netted four or more goals in the second half.
- This season’s win over Eastern Washington also marked the 350th win in program history. Head Coach John Walker achieved the same milestone, having been at the helm of the program since its inception in 1994.
- Head Coach John Walker is in his 30th season, alongside assistant coaches Savanah Anderson-Baer (first season), Ian Bridge (eighth season) and Marty Everding (26th season).
Iowa Hawkeyes
- Iowa is 8-1-3 overall with a 2-1-2 record in Big Ten play. The Hawkeyes enter the week after two shutout victories: Purdue (4-0) and Rutgers (1-0).
- The Huskers lead the overall series between the two teams, 11-4-1, dating back to the first meeting between the teams in 2003. The Huskers’ most recent victory over Iowa was at home in 2020-21.
- Head Coach Dave Dilanni is 93-70-21 in his 10th season at Iowa. He is assisted by Katelyn Longino, J.P. Valadares and Kyle Venter.
