Huskers Conclude Beach Season in California

The Nebraska beach volleyball team wrapped up its beach season in Long Beach, Calif., on Saturday.

Nebraska fell to Texas, 3-2, and to No. 7 Long Beach State, 5-0. The Huskers finished the year with a 16-11 record, a program record for wins in a season.

In the first match of the day against Texas, Olivia Mauch and Harper Murray won their No. 2 match, 16-21, 21-15, 15-13. Maisie Boesiger and Andi Jackson were 19-21, 21-11, 15-9 winners as NU's No. 5 pair. 

Boesiger and Jackson were also the only Husker pair to a force a third set against the nationally ranked Long Beach State program. They went the distance before falling to the 49ers' No. 5 pair, 19-21, 21-12, 14-16.
