Nebraska Swimming and Diving Head Coach Pablo Morales and Head Diving Coach Landon Marzullo announced the addition of Wyoming transfer Nettie Knapton to the 2024-25 roster on July 15.
In her sophomore season with the Cowgirls, Knapton posted a fifth-place finish on the platform at the 2024 Mountain West Championships with a score of 255.90. She added a ninth-place conference finish on the one-meter (267.85) and a 20th-place finish on the three-meter (211.00).
The junior from Omaha, Neb. will be returning to her home state and will have two years of eligibility remaining.
Knapton swam at Marian High School and was a top-five finisher at the 2022 Nebraska High School State Championships. With Nebraska Diving Club, she earned a 17th-place finish on the platform at nationals her freshman season.
Knapton is the younger sister of former First-Team All-American Husker diver, Abigail Knapton. The most decorated diver in Nebraska history, Abigail became the first Husker diver or swimmer ever to be a four-time first-team All-American in the same event (platform). She was also named the Nebraska Athletics Female Student-Athlete of the Year and the Nebraska Athletics Best Female Athlete in 2020-21.
