Nebraska Soccer Head Coach John Walker announced Wednesday that 2023 Oregon Gatorade Player of the Year Ellie Felt will transfer from Oregon State and join the Huskers in January of 2025.
A Portland, Oregon native, Felt has an impressive resume as she played in the 2022 High School All-American Game, was named to the Sports Illustrated Best High School Players in the Nation last year and earned two-time All-American honors. Additionally, she was a two-time USA Today HSSA Girls Soccer Player of the Year and Metro League Player of the Year.
On the club side, she competed for Coach Joaquim Capuia at Portland Thorns Academy where she was ranked top five nationwide in assists and was named to the Best 11 for the Northwest Conference, three-time All-American USCA for Club Youth Girls, ECNL All-Conference in 2022 and 2023, and an IMG Top 150 Players in the U.S. for 2024 graduates.
“I chose Nebraska because of the incredible coaching staff and their ability to develop players to the next level, as well as the hard working and competitive culture of the girls,” Felt said. “I also appreciate the support that Nebraska provides their athletes to help them succeed at the highest level.”
