Former Nebraska women's basketball player Jasmine Cincore will be inducted into her high school hall of fame in Tennessee Aug. 30.
Cincore, who was a senior guard on Nebraska Coach Amy Williams' first Husker team in 2016-17, will join the Briarcrest Christian High School Athletic Hall of Fame during induction ceremonies on Friday evening.
A two-time Miss Basketball in Tennessee Division II Class AA, Cincore was a USA Today First-Team All-Tennessee selection at Briarcrest in 2014. As a senior for Coach Lee Smith at Briarcrest Christian, Cincore averaged 15.2 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 3.1 steals. Over her junior and senior seasons, Briarcrest Christian produced a 55-3 record.
In her four-year career at Nebraska, Cincore played in 112 games with 66 starts. She helped the Huskers to one of the nation's biggest turnarounds from her junior to senior seasons, culminating in a trip to the 2018 NCAA Tournament. She was Nebraska's Lifter of the Year in 2017, and the Big Red's Defensive MVP in 2018 before participating in the WBCA's "So You Want To Be A Coach" program. Cincore was also a freshman on Nebraska's 2015 NCAA Tournament team under Coach Connie Yori.
A 5-10 guard from Arlington, Tenn., Cincore was a three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection before earning her bachelor's degree in May of 2018 as an advertising and public relations major at Nebraska.
Following her playing career at Nebraska, Cincore began her college coaching career at Murray State College in Oklahoma (2018-19), before spending two years at Rogers State (2019-21). She moved on to Eastern Illinois (2021-22), before arriving at Tennessee Tech (2022-present), where she is in her third season as an assistant coach and co-recruiting coordinator.
