The Nebraska men’s tennis team has announced its 2024 fall schedule, starting with the Huskers taking on the ITA All American Championship on September 21 in Tulsa, Okla.
The Big Red will also travel to Wisconsin, Texas and California this fall. The Huskers’ 2024 individual competition kicks off head coach Peter Kobelt’s second season leading the program, after achieving the most single-season wins since 1990 last season. Kobelt is joined by assistant coach Brett Forman, in his first year in the role with Nebraska.
Nebraska has six returning letterwinners, including Roni Hietaranta, Lars Johann, Leo Linquet, Calvin Mueller, Anton Shepp and Nikolay Sysoev. NU also returns Henry Bilicic and Colson Wells, who redshirted for the Big Red in the 2023-24 season. UT-Arlington transfer Joan Torres Espinosa is joining the Huskers, with two years of eligibility remaining.
Last fall, the Huskers found success on the individual court, with doubles duos reaching tournament semifinals and finals, and Calvin Mueller claiming the 2023 Big Ten Individual Championships singles title.
The fall schedule is subject to change. Stay tuned to the Husker Men’s Tennis social media channels to keep up with fall play updates and content.
