Seven Huskers Head to Senior World Team Trials in Omaha

Seven Huskers are headed to Omaha, Neb., for the Senior World Team trials beginning September 14. The champion in each non-Olympic weight class at the two-day trials will represent the U.S. at the World Championships in Tirana, Albania, taking place October 28-31.

Nebraska wrestling alumni Jordan Burroughs (79 kg), Kyle Burwick (61 kg), Liam Cronin (61 kg), James Green (70 kg), Dayne Morton (70 kg) and Eric Schultz (92 kg) will compete in freestyle, and Peyton Robb (72 kg) will wrestle in the greco-roman division.

Hosted at the CHI Health Center, the preliminary round begins Saturday, Sept. 14 at 10 a.m. (CT), and will be followed by quarterfinals and consolations. Semifinals are set to begin at 5 p.m. (CT). The trials will continue on Sunday, Sept. 15, with round one of finals starting at 10 a.m. (CT) and round two of finals at 2 p.m. (CT).
