Nebraska cross country runner Dennis Chapman was named the Big Ten Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday.
Chapman, a freshman from Omaha, finished 15th overall at the Greeno/Dirksen Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 21 with a time of 25:22.17. He helped the Huskers to a second-place overall finish.
This marks Chapman’s first Big Ten weekly honor for a Nebraska men’s cross country athlete since George Kusche on October 23, 2019.
NU will continue its season with the Bill Dellinger Invitational on Friday, Oct. 11.
