The Nebraska women’s tennis team is sending four Huskers to compete in the Tennessee Invite this weekend in Knoxville, Tenn., from Oct. 25-27. The tournament will feature singles and doubles, and the Big Red will be represented by sophomores Emma Rizzetto and Maria Taranova and seniors Ana Zamburek and Lucy Loy.
Other teams in the playing field include Ohio State, Virginia, Tennessee and Arizona State. This tournament is the fourth weekend of fall competition for NU, and the Huskers look to improve their singles and doubles records. Rizzetto and Taranova lead the Big Red in singles wins this fall, with four each.
Singles matches will begin at 9 a.m. (CT) on Friday and Saturday, and doubles play at 11:30 a.m. (CT) both days. Sunday competition will start at 8 a.m. (CT) with doubles, followed by singles. The invite will be hosted at the University of Tennessee’s Goodfriend Tennis Center, and will have live stream and live stats available.
