The Nebraska women’s tennis team is ready for the Bulldog Classic, sending four Huskers to Des Moines, Iowa for the tournament. Hosted by Drake University at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center, the competition runs Nov.1-3. Senior Lucy Loy and sophomores Maria Taranova, Yuzu Miyoshi and Tiziana Rossini will play, looking to improve their fall season records and experience.
The Bulldog Classic will feature singles and doubles play. The tournament page is linked here.
Loy leads the Big Red in doubles wins this fall, having notched five so far. Taranova and Miyoshi each have four singles wins this fall, the most for the Huskers aside from sophomore Emma Rizzetto. Rossini heads to the Bulldog Classic 3-4 in singles and 1-4 in doubles. The tournament ends Nov. 3, just before the Lincoln Pro Women’s Tennis Open begins Nov. 4.
