See some of the sights and sounds of Big Ten Media Day, as Head Coach Fred Hoiberg and seniors Juwan Gary and Brice Williams represented the Huskers at the event.
The Huskers, coming off a season where they won 23 games and reached the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2014, will rely on the leadership of Williams and Gary, who both return after averaging double figures last season.
“Consistency is a big thing we talk about,” Hoiberg said. "That is a big word. Everyday these guys come in and I never have to worry about competitiveness and that’s a great thing. If you have a competitive group that steps on the floor every day and works, you are going to have a chance.”
The Huskers have added several pieces in the off season, including six Division I transfers, along with senior Ahron Ulis, who sat out last season. Nebraska, which led the Big Ten in bench scoring and was second in minutes from their bench, will once again enjoy a deep rotation in 2024-25.
“My biggest job is going to be figuring out a rotation because we have a lot of guys who are capable of being out there,” Hoiberg said. “We have an unselfish, hard-playing group and we are excited to lace ‘em up here on Nov. 4”
Fans can meet the Huskers this Friday night, as part of Opening Night presented by SCHEELS beginning at 7 p.m. The Huskers will also hold a public scrimmage at the Devaney Center on Sunday, Oct. 13. Fans can claim their free tickets to the event by visiting Huskers.com/Tickets.
