Nebraska Rifle Head Coach Richard Clark announced that three athletes have signed to compete for the Husker rifle team. Carley Seabrooke (Helena, Ala.), Hannah Gallagher (Croton On Hudson, N.Y.), and Katlyn Sullivan (Statesboro, Ga.) will join the roster for the 2025-26 season.
“We are super excited to welcome Carley, Hannah and Katlyn to the program,” Clark said. “All three have shown an impressive amount of dedication, resilience and character that has brought them to where they are today. This freshman class will bring lots of talent to our program with various experiences from having competed on the world stage to having shot local state matches. Each will play a pivotal role in our success as a program over the next four years.”
Carley Seabrooke
Seabrooke attends Helena High School, where she was on the 2022-23 ELEY High School All-American Smallbore Team. In 2024, she was a gold medalist at the South Eastern Regional Championship and won the USA U18 National Smallbore Championship. In addition, she was the 2024 Dixie Challenge gold medalist in both the air rifle and the smallbore. In 2023, Seabrooke earned a bronze medal in the USA Nationals smallbore competition and a silver medal in the smallbore at the 2023 Junior Olympics.
The daughter of Gayle and Robert Seabrooke, Carley plans to go pre-pharmacy with a minor in business.
Seabrooke on Nebraska: “I chose Nebraska because the campus was beautiful and I loved the community. The rifle coach and team made me feel at home. The athletics and school facilities made a lasting positive impression.”
Hannah Gallagher
Gallagher attends Croton Harmon High School, and trains under Coach Jeanne Haverhill. In 2024, was a silver medalist in the three-position rifle. Gallager is a three-time Junior Olympic qualifier, and competed in the 2023 Olympic Trials. In 2023, she was the USAS New York State Champion in the three-position smallbore, a U18 Silver Medalist at the Palmyra Invitational, and an Army Black Knight Open Finalist. In addition, she was top 15 in the USA Shooting Winter Airgun Nationals.
The daughter of Kristin and Brain Gallagher, Hannah plans to study Elementary Education at Nebraska.
Gallagher on Nebraska: “I chose Nebraska because it felt like home from the second that I stepped on campus. I received an incredibly warm welcome from both the team and the UNL support staff, and the resources that Nebraska makes available to its student-athletes are second to none. I couldn’t imagine a better environment to start the next phase of my life.”
Katlyn Sullivan
Sullivan attends Statesboro High School, where she was the GHSA Riflery State Champion in 2024 and a two-time member of the Georgia All-Star Team in 2023 and 2024. She is a three-time National Junior Olympic Championships Qualifier (2022-2024) and a two-time Governor’s 20 winner for smallbore and air rifle. In 2024, she earned bronze in the State Junior Olympics for smallbore and air rifle and placed 14th overall in the smallbore at the US Nationals. In 2023, she earned gold in the U17 National Junior Olympic 3PAR Championship and qualified for the American Legion’s Junior 3-Position Air Rifle National Championship.
The daughter of James and Kathleen Sullivan, Katlyn plans to study mechanical engineering at Nebraska.
Sullivan on Nebraska: “I chose Nebraska because it provided the greatest resources to challenge and advance myself both athletically and academically. Athletically, the coaches, team, and support staff are all committed to aiding athletes to reach the next level. Academically, the engineering program here at the University of Nebraska has multiple opportunities to expand my knowledge and experience toward my chosen career path.”
