The North Carolina duals will be the second and third of the Big Red’s 2024-25 season, after the Huskers (1-0, 0-0) claimed their opener against UVU, 32-7, in Lincoln on Friday, Nov. 8. NU took down the Wolverines with two major decisions, two tech., falls and a dual-closing pin from senior Ridge Lovett.
Friday afternoon, the Huskers face the Camels on a baseball field, with up to four ranked matchups in store. The dual will be streamed on UFC Fight Pass, and have live stats available. Heavyweight #9 Taye Ghadiali is the highest ranked Camel and looks to build off his All-American 2023-24 season.
Friday evening, the Big Red will head to Chapel Hill to face #25 UNC, with up to five ranked matchups. The 149 match will likely be between two 2023-24 All-Americans, with #5 Ridge Lovett and UNC’s #6 Lachlan McNeil on the projected lineups.
HISTORY: The Big Red lead the all-time series against the Camels, 2-0-0. Their most recent dual was on Nov. 10, 2023, with Nebraska winning in Lincoln, Neb., 37-4. NU also leads the all-time series against UNC, 14-2-0. The two programs met last in Lincoln, Neb., on Nov. 17, 2021, and the Huskers won 27-6.
