Bainbridge Set to Represent Huskers at NCAA Championships

Sophomore Ali Bainbridge will compete at the 2024 NCAA Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Nov. 23 in Madison, Wisc. The women’s 6k is slated to start at 9:20 a.m. at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Course. Live stats are available here and the meet will be televised on ESPNU. 

Bainbridge ran a 6k time of 19:52.82 to place fifth at the 2024 NCAA Midwest Regional and earn one of four individual qualifying spots. She became the first Husker to qualify for the NCAA Championships since Erica Freyhof in 2021, and helped the women’s team to a fifth-place finish, which was its highest in 15 years.

The Second-Team All-Big Ten honoree has been NU’s top finisher in three out of its five meets this season, including the Big Ten Championships and NCAA Midwest Regional. She has set PRs in the 5k (17:37.40) and 6k (19:46.20) in 2024.
