Growing up in Buffalo, New York, my dreams never included football fields nestled in the cornfields of Nebraska.
But life has a way of surprising us.
When I accepted a scholarship to become a Cornhusker, I didn’t just trade skyscrapers for silos—I stepped into a whole new world.
At first, the cultural differences were staggering. The hurried pace of New York streets was replaced by the steady rhythm of small-town life.
Yet, amidst these changes, I found something unexpected: camaraderie.
Whether it was through football drills or late-night road trips with the baseball team, I discovered lifelong friendships that eased my transition and defined my college years.
Little did I know that this journey, which began with uncertainty, would shape not only my athletic career but also the person I would become.
