Husker Divers Set for Rutgers Invite

Members of the Nebraska diving team will compete at the Rutgers Diving Invitational Thursday through Saturday in Piscataway, N.J.

Action at the Rutgers Aquatics Center begins on Thursday, Dec. 5, at 9:30 a.m. (CT) with preliminaries in the one-meter competition, followed by finals at 3 p.m.

Friday's action also begins at 9:30 a.m. (CT) with the three-meter preliminary competition, followed by finals at 3 p.m. The invitational concludes with finals on the platform on Saturday at 10 a.m. (CT).

Abby Baxter and Antonina Harned have been the top performers on the one-meter and three-meter boards early this season.

Baxter, a sophomore from Coppell, Texas, posted a team-leading 308.25 on the one meter in a dual win over Iowa State (Oct. 25), before adding a team-best 332.45 on the three-meter board at the Hawkeye Invitational (Nov. 22). 

Harned, a sophomore from Windermere, Fla., owns Nebraska's No. 2 scores on both events, including a 315.53 on the three-meter dive at Iowa (Oct. 18), before posting a 294.83 against Iowa State (Oct. 25).

Junior Kelsey Clairmont, who qualified for the 2024 NCAA Championships, will be looking to improve on season-best scores of 275.55 on the one meter and 298.10 on the three-meter, as will Nettie Knapton, who carries a season-best 285.05 on the three meter and a 257.78 on the one-meter board. Knapton is a junior from Omaha.

Jordan Schmucker, a sophomore from Farmington, Minn., is also coming off a season-best 268.30 on the one meter at the Hawkeye Invitational. Junior Ellee Delcamp (Seward, Neb.) and junior Frankie Webb (Cambridge, England) will also be looking to improve on their marks early this season.
