Huskers Third in NTCA Rankings

Ranking-Update

The Nebraska bowling team moved up to third in the latest 2024 NTCA December poll released on Thursday, jumping past now No. 4 Youngstown State and No. 5 Arkansas State.

NU received a total of 2,017 points and eight first-place votes, behind the 2023 national champions and previous first place, Jacksonville State (2,069 points, 18 first-place votes) and now No. 1 Vanderbilt (2,083 points, 22 first-place votes).

Nebraska has had five different players make all-tournament teams, finishing with at least one in each of the three out of four tournaments the Huskers have played in. The Big Red most recently had three girls make the all-tournament team at the Garden State Classic with Jillian Martin, Kayla Starr and Anna Callan all receiving tournament honors.

After the fall session, the Huskers ranked third in the NTCA Power Index Rating with a nation leading 42 wins and a 80.8% win rate.

The Cornhuskers resume play in January as the Huskers travel to New Castle, Del., for the Northeast Classic from Jan. 17-19, hosted by No. 11 Sacred Heart.
