Huskers Set Spring Dual Schedule

The Nebraska women’s tennis team has its spring 2025 schedule set, featuring 13 home duals, head coach German Dalmagro announced Monday.

NU wrapped up the 2023-24 spring season with a 14-11 record, reaching the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinal after an upset over Maryland. The Big Red reached the quarterfinals with two tournament wins for the first time in program history, led by first year coach Dalmagro. He also coached Maria Taranova to 22 singles wins, within the top-five by a freshman in school history. The Huskers look to build off the previous season led by three returning letterwinners.

The Huskers concluded their fall season with 34 singles wins and 12 doubles wins, from a total of five tournaments. Sophomore Taranova led the Big Red in singles wins this fall, going 7-6. Close behind, with six singles wins each, Yuzu Miyoshi and Emma Rizzetto.

The 2024-25 women’s team consists of two seniors and five sophomores. Seniors Ana Zamburek and Lucy Loy and sophomores Miyoshi, Taranova, Reya Lee Coe, Tiziana Rossini and Rizzetto.

The Huskers will start their spring season at UC Riverside, with a doubleheader on Thursday, Jan. 16. The following weekend, Nebraska will host a triangular with Wichita State and Washington State. The Big Red will visit nine opponents on the road and host 13 duals, including six against Big Ten opponents.

Home events, noted by bold font in the below schedule, will be held at the Sid and Hazel Dillon Tennis Center. Home duals have free admission and parking, and can be held either indoor or outdoor depending on weather conditions.
