Written byMadison Sheets

The Nebraska swim and dive squad returns home to take on the Fighting Illini of Illinois on Senior Day at the Bob Devaney Natatorium on Saturday at 11 a.m. (CT).

The Huskers, who own a 5-2 dual record after a dominant 169-73 dual win over Omaha on Dec. 11, will compete at home for the final time in 2024-25, while celebrating seniors Caterina Bisiacchi, Maia Hall, Madison Lloyd, Sydney McCracken and JoJo Randby in the final home appearances of their careers.

Against the Mavericks, the Big Red secured eight individual titles and a pair of relay crowns.

Anna Vlachou clocked 57.18 to finish first in the 100 butterfly. The sophomore from Athens, Greece also contributed to both first-place relays.

Junior Giulia Marchi shined for the Huskers, winning the 1,000 freestyle with a personal-best time of 10:35.73. She later touched fourth in the 100 freestyle (52.78).

Maisie Gilford, a junior from England, took the individual title in the 50 freestyle with a time of 23.56. Gilford also contributed to both relay wins.

The Huskers were strong in the diving well with Kelsey Clairmont leading the way with two individual titles. Nettie Knapton earned second place on the three-meter board, and Frankie Webb took second in the one-meter dive.
