The Nebraska women’s gymnastics team will travel to Gainesville, Fla this Friday, Jan. 10, for a quad meet at the O’Connell Center. The meet is slated to start at 5:45 p.m. (CT).
NU will compete against Florida and Northern Illinois, who have not competed yet this season, along with No. 3 Michigan State.

Last Time Out
The Huskers traveled to Nashville, Tenn., to compete in the American Gold Women’s Collegiate Classic against No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 7 Auburn, and No. 22 BYU. Nebraska scored a 194.475 to place fourth.
Three Husker athletes placed in the top ten for all-around – Emma Spence (seventh, 39.175), Whitney Jencks (ninth, 39.025) and Sophia McClelland (tenth, 39.000).
Scouting the Competition
Michigan State
Michigan State is currently No. 3 in the Road to Nationals rankings. The Spartans are 1-0 on the season at the top of the Big Ten and scored a 196.850 team score in their first competition. Nebraska leads the series 22-7.
Florida
The last time the Huskers clashed with Florida was in 2017, with the Gators coming out on top 197.850-196.800. UF also leads the all-time series 26-10. The Gators have six seniors on their roster this season.
Northern Illinois
The Huskies of Northern Illinois are behind in the series, with NU leading 3-0 all-time. The last time they competed was in 2016, with Nebraska picking up a 196.400-194.350 victory. NIU has four seniors on their roster.
