Nebraska is coming off its most impressive win of the season in a 91-71 road victory at No. 17/15 Maryland on Thursday night in College Park. Alexis Markowski notched her ninth double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds to lead six Huskers in double figures against the Terrapins.
The win at Maryland marked the seventh time this season that at least five different Huskers have scored in double figures. Alberte Rimdal continued her strong play with 15 points, while freshman Britt Prince added 13 points and a career-high eight assists. Logan Nissley pitched in 11 points and season highs of five rebounds and five assists, while fellow sophomore Jessica Petrie added 11 points and six rebounds. The Huskers, who trailed by 14 points at 29-15 late in the first quarter, rallied to build a 28-point lead at 91-63 with just over three minutes left in the game. The 42-point swing was fueled by 12-for-21 three-point shooting and a dominant effort on the boards (42-25) by the Big Red against one of the nation's top rebounding teams.
Illinois enters the weekend as one of the Big Ten's hottest teams, riding a seven-game winning streak that included a 67-55 victory over visiting Penn State at the State Farm Center on Thursday. The Lady Lions led 48-43 after three quarters before the Illini rallied to secure their 20th win of the season. Adalia McKenzie led four Illini in double figures with 19 points, while Genesis Bryant added 18. Big Ten double-double leader Kendall Bostic contributed 12 points and eight rebounds, while Jasmine Brown-Hagger added 10 points.

Markowski owns a school-record 49 double-doubles, which ranks fourth among active NCAA Division I players. Her most recent double-double came with 20 points and 11 rebounds at No. 17 Maryland (Feb. 13).
• Big Ten Freshman-of-the-Year candidate Britt Prince has been a leader for the Big Red in conference play. Huskers Dedicate Season to Injured Teammates
• The Huskers have dedicated their performances the rest of this season to injured teammates Allison Weidner and Natalie Potts, who suffered season-ending knee injuries.
• Nebraska's five-game winning streak (Jan. 5-20) was made more significant after fourth-year guard Allison Weidner suffered a season-ending right leg injury in practice on Jan. 11. It was Weidner's third season-ending injury. Weidner, a 5-10 guard from Humphrey, Neb., was coming off her best game of the season with 11 points and six assists in Nebraska's 85-80 win over No. 20 Michigan State (Jan. 8), which followed a win over Penn State (Jan. 5). Despite the injury occurring just hours before the Huskers traveled to Rutgers, the Big Red responded with its first win in Piscataway since 2018.
