The Nebraska bowling team is now the top-ranked team in the country as the 2025 NTCA February poll was released on Thursday, making it the first time the Huskers have led the nation since the 2021-22 preseason poll.
The Big Red received a total of 2,279 points and 38 first-place votes, landing in front of No. 2 Vanderbilt (2,217 points, 14 first-place votes) and No. 3 Jacksonville State (2,091 points, two first-place votes). The rest of the top-10 didn’t see much movement other than North Carolina A&T (1,714 points) moving from 10th to sixth. Wright State (600 points) was the only team that was previously unranked that made the top-25, coming in at 19th.
After a fifth-place finish at the Prairie View A&M invite, the Cornhuskers ranked first in the NTCA Power Index Rating with a nation-leading 63 wins and only 15 losses.
Jillian Martin currently leads the nation in the PCPI and leads all bowlers in combined scoring average (22.174 average per frame) and strike percentage (61.5%).
NU resumes competition this weekend as the Huskers travel to Lockport, Ill., for the Storm Flyer Classic from Feb. 7-9, hosted by Lewis.
