Huskers Finish Day One in Fifth Place at PRC Championships

The No. 9 Nebraska rifle team stands in fifth place after the first day of the Patriot Rifle Conference Championships on Saturday. The Huskers shot a score of 2,330 as a team in the smallbore on the first day of competition. 

No. 2 Alaska-Fairbanks currently sits in first place with a 2,367, closely followed by No. 6 Ole Miss, which posted a score of 2,364. No. 5 TCU sits in third with a 2,345, with No. 7 Air Force following close behind with its 2,337. No. 9 NU (2,330) is in fifth, No. 12 Ohio State (2,328) is sixth, and No. 16 UTEP (2,307) rounds out the seven-team field after day one.

Freshman Alivia Perkins led the team with a mark of 586, with Emma Rhode following right behind with a score of 585. Maddy Moyer notched a 584, while Camilla Johannessen (575) and Grace Corbett (566) rounded out the lineup for the Big Red. 

Nebraska will finish out the PRC Championships by competing in the air rifle portion of the competition on Feb. 9, starting at 6:30 a.m. (central). Live results can be found here.
