15 Huskers Claim Academic Accolades

A total of 15 members of the Nebraska swimming and diving team captured Academic All-Big Ten honors when the conference announced its annual awards for the winter sport season on March 19.

Senior JoJo Randby and sophomores Amelia Riggott and Beatrix Tanko highlighted the academic efforts of the Husker swimmers with perfect 4.0 grade-point averages.

Randby, along with fellow seniors Maia Hall, Madison Lloyd and Sydney McCracken, all earned the third Academic All-Big Ten honors of their careers.

Junior Gena Jorgenson, a first-team All-American in the 1,650 freestyle in 2024, also earned Academic All-Big Ten honors. Jorgenson is representing the Huskers this week in competition at the 2025 NCAA Championships in Federal Way, Wash.

Jorgenson, along with fellow juniors Kelsey Clairmont, Giulia Marchi, earned the second All-Big Ten accolades of their careers, while Caterina Bisiacchi, Jenna Brown, Antonina Harned, Amelia Riggott, Jordyn Schmucker, Beatrix Tanko, Anna Vlachou and Frankie Webb were named to the Academic All-Big Ten team for the first time as Huskers.
