Huskers Set for Postseason at Big Ten Championships

The No. 20 Nebraska women’s gymnastics team (8-11, 3-6 Big Ten) will travel to Ann Arbor, Mich., to take part in the Big Ten Championships on Friday, March 21. The Huskers will compete in the first session of the championships, which starts at 5:00 p.m. (CT) at the Crisler Center and will be streamed on the Big Ten Network.

Last Time Out
NU concluded the regular season hosting the Ameritas Masters Classic on Saturday night, where they placed first out of four teams. The Huskers scored a 196.450 to defeat Iowa State, Temple and Texas Woman’s University.

Whitney Jencks earned the all-around title with a career-high 39.4000, while also grabbing a share of the bars title with a 9.900, along with Emma Spence. Emma Simpton earned the beam title with a season-high 9.925.

NU was first with a 196.450, Iowa State took second with a 196.100, TWU was third with a 195.975 and Temple ended in fourth with a 194.550.

Scouting the Competition

The Huskers will take on No. 22 Ohio State, Washington and Rutgers. NU defeated Ohio State and Rutgers earlier this season at the Big Fours meet and has not competed against Washington.
