The Nebraska beach volleyball team won two matches in Northridge, California on Wednesday to extend their win streak to 14 straight matches.
The Huskers defeated The Master's 3-2 to begin the day and capped it off with a thrilling 3-2 victory over CSUN.
Against The Master's, Rebekah Allick and Olivia Mauch got the Huskers on the board, 21-12, 21-18, and Laney Choboy and Skyler Pierce put NU in the lead with a 21-13, 20-22, 19-17 win. Campbell Flynn and Keri Leimbach provided the match-clinching point with a 21-17, 21-12 win at No. 5.
In the match against CSUN, the teams split the first four duals 2-2. Allick and Mauch won again, 21-18, 12-21, 22-20, and Andi Jackson and Harper Murray kept the Huskers in the match with a comeback win, 21-23, 21-11, 17-15. That set the stage for Bergen Reilly and Teraya Sigler to finish off the win, as the Huskers' top pair won in three sets, 21-13, 19-21, 15-10.
The Huskers continue play on Thursday with three matches in Santa Monica, California. NU will play Santa Monica, Hope International and Ventura, beginning at Noon (CT). Nebraska (14-3) will have a chance to break its school record for wins in a season (16 in 2024).
