Gena Jorgenson and Abby Baxter competed in the third day of the NCAA women’s swimming and diving championships on Friday, March 21 at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center in Federal Way, Wash.
Jorgenson notched a 4:13.76 in the 400 IM. The swimmer from Aberdeen, S.D. posted a 39th-place finish in the event, shy of a finals appearance. She currently holds NU’s record time of 4:11.51.
Baxter, a sophomore from Coppell, Tex., made a stellar NCAA championships debut by collecting a 20th-place finish with 299.45 points in the 3-meter prelim diving event.
Jorgenson will be competing in the 1,650 event Saturday, March 22 with prelims at 5:45 p.m. (CT) and finals at 8 p.m. (CT). The event can be streamed on ESPN+.
