The No. 19 Nebraska women’s gymnastics team defeated New Hampshire 196.350-195.525 on Saturday at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.
The Huskers moved to 5-11 on the season (3-6 Big Ten), while New Hampshire fell to 9-14 (2-2 EAGL).
Whitney Jencks claimed the all-around title with a 39.350. Emma Spence, Emma Simpton and Jencks all split the bars title with a 9.900. Isabel Sikon claimed the beam title with a 9.850, and Sophia McClelland grabbed the floor title with a 9.925.
Rotation One
The Huskers opened the night on vault, notching a 48.675 as a team. Sikon led the way for NU with a 9.850. Spence, Jencks and McClelland all followed with a 9.725. Jenna Sartoretto (9.650) and Ayzhia Hall (9.575) finished out the lineup.
Rotation Two
NU moved to bars, where they scored a 49.250 as a team. All scoring 9.900, Spence, Jencks and Emma Simpton tied for first. McClelland and Lauren Hollifield notched the same score of 9.775 earning themselves a fifth-place finish. Isabel Sikon went neck-to-neck in eighth-place scoring 9.750.
Rotation Three
Sikon led the beam efforts, notching a 9.850. Jencks and McClelland were closely behind with a 9.825. Simpton grabbed a 9.800 finish. Following were Lauren Homecillo (9.750) and Ayzhia Hall (9.500).
Rotation Four
The Big Red concluded the night on floor, tying their season high team score with a 49.375. Jencks recorded a career best earning a 9.900 and Nya Kraus had a season high performance of 9.850. McClelland logged a 9.925 leading the team on the floor routine. Lauren Homecillo harnessed an impressive 9.875, while Allie Gard posted a career high of 9.825. Reese Baechle scored a 9.800 on floor to conclude the competition for the Big Red.

NU will stay at home to compete in the Ameritas Masters Classic on Saturday, March 15. The meet is slated to start at 6:30 p.m. (CT) and will be streamed on B1G+. The Huskers will honor Genesis Gibson, Ayzhia Hall, Katie Kuenemann, Sophia McClelland, Halle Rourke, Emma Spence, Emma Simpton and Lucy Stanhope for their senior nights. The meet is also Nebraska’s alumni night.
