Jorgenson Set to Compete at 2025 NCAA Championships

Gena Jorgenson will compete for the Huskers in the 400 IM, 500 and 1650 freestyle at the 2025 NCAA Championships March 19-22, in Federal Way, Wash. 

At the Big Ten Championships, Jorgenson harnessed the second-best 1650 free time in NU history with a 15:56.70. She collected three B cut standard times. Through achieving six B cut times in the 500 free, Jorgenson now holds the top-three times in this event for the Huskers. She recently logged the second-fastest time at the Big Ten Championships with a time of 4:39.31. 

Jorgenson will also be swimming in the 400 IM. Throughout the season, she swam four B standard times. She harnessed a career best at the Hawkeye Invitational placing second with a 4:13.78.  

The three-day event is set to begin Wednesday, March 19 at 5 p.m. (CT) with the 200 medley and 800 freestyle relay. The individual events will begin on Thursday, March 20 with trials starting at 9 a.m. (CT) and finals at 5 p.m. (CT). 

Jorgenson will be competing in the 500 freestyle on Thursday, the 400 IM on Friday and the 1650 freestyle on Saturday. 

The NCAA Championship meet can be viewed live on ESPN+ everyday.
