Beatrix Tanko stood at the top of the podium after winning gold in the 50-meter butterfly at the Hungarian National Championships on Friday, April 11.
Tanko raced to her all-time best in Friday’s final with a time of 27:04, capturing her first gold medal of the weekend. She has now claimed two medals and four top-10 finishes at her home country's national meet, including a silver in Thursday's 50-meter freestyle.
Tanko also swam the first leg of a 4x100 relay that placed sixth in Friday's finals. She also swam in the 200-meter freestyle prelims (2:04.45).
Tanko will complete individual competition with the 100 butterfly on Saturday, April 12.
