Huskers Add Transfer Henry Lamchinniah

The Nebraska men’s tennis team builds its roster with the addition of Sacramento State transfer and unanimous All-Big Sky first team selection Henry Lamchinniah for the 2025-26 season. The rising junior competed at No. 1 singles for the Hornets, leading the team with 14 dual victories.

“We are extremely excited to have Henry join our family,” head coach Peter Kobelt said. “We are very thorough throughout our recruiting process because Nebraska is reserved for only the very best. Henry is going to be a great Husker. Look for him to come to Lincoln and be a great teammate, be active in the community and embody exactly what it means to be a Husker student-athlete.”

Originally from Adelaide, Australia, Lamchinniah spent his freshman season at Southern Mississippi. Prior to his collegiate career, he also played for Australia at the Junior Australian Open. Lamchinniah has two years of eligibility remaining.

“I am very grateful to be a part of the Husker family,” Lamchinniah said. “There is an incredible team culture, and they are building something really special. I am super excited to be a part of it and can’t wait to play alongside our coaches and teammates.”
