Nebraska vs. Auburn
• This weekend's three-game series marks the first all-time meeting between the Huskers and Auburn.
• The Tigers are one of two first-time opponents on Nebraska's 2026 non-conference slate, joining Maine.
Notables Through the First Two Weeks
• Nebraska is off to one of its most productive offensive starts this century, totaling the most extra-base hits (29), fifth-highest batting average (.319) and hits (81) and ninth-most runs scored (49) through seven games to begin a season.
• Junior Mac Moyer has found success setting the table for the NU offense in the leadoff spot, ranking as one of 10 Power Four players in the country with at least a .625 on-base percentage in more than 15 at-bats as of Feb. 24.
• Jett Buck and Joshua Overbeek have recorded a hit in each of Nebraska's seven games this season, joining Colby Gomes (2022) as the only three Huskers to do so since the 2020 season.
• With a 3.75 ERA, the NU pitching staff has compiled a sub-4.00 ERA through the first seven games of the season for the third time since the 2016 campaign.
• Nebraska is one of nine Power Four teams nationally batting at least .300 at the plate with 20-plus doubles as of Feb. 24, as the Husker offense has compiled a .319 batting average and 23 doubles through its first seven games this season.

Big Red Success Against Ranked Foes
• With this weekend's series against No. 7 Auburn, Nebraska is looking to build off the success against ranked opponents since the start of last season.
• The Big Red are 7-3 in their last 10 games against ranked foes after splitting against No. 15 Louisville and No. 16 Florida State in last weekend's Amegy Bank College Baseball Series at Globe Life Field.
• In 2025, the Huskers went 6-2 against ranked teams after facing No. 2 LSU, No. 4 Oregon, No. 5 Oregon State (3x), No. 13 UCLA, No. 16 Vanderbilt and No. 22 Kansas.
A Look at the Weekend Rotation
• Ty Horn takes the mound on Friday's series opener and is 0-0 on the season with a 1.86 ERA in 9.2 innings on the season after allowing one run on five hits with five strikeouts in five innings against No. 15 Louisville.
• Redshirt sophomore Carson Jasa gets the nod on Saturday after pitching a career-high 5.2 innings against Kansas State last weekend. On the year, Jasa is 1-0 with a 5.06 ERA and 17 punchouts in 10.2 innings of work.
• Sophomore Gavin Blachowicz is scheduled to start the series finale and is 1-0 on the season with a 1.86 ERA and 11 strikeouts in 9.2 innings on the season after dealing five one-hit innings against No. 16 Florida State on Sunday.
Lucky Number Six in the Bolt Era
• Nebraska is 133-29 under head coach Will Bolt when scoring at least six runs.
• The Husker offense has scored six-plus runs in all four victories this season after reaching the six-run mark 32 times last season, compiling a 25-7 record.
• Nebraska scored six-plus runs in 34 contests (28-6) in 2024 after tallying at least six runs 33 times (26-7) in 2024, 23 times (19-4) in 2022, 28 times (26-2) in 2021 and seven times (5-2) in 2020.
Horn on the Hill: 2.78 ERA in Last 10 Starts
• Across his last 10 starts, Horn is 4-0 with a 2.78 ERA and 47 punchouts in 55 innings while limiting opposing hitters to a .219 batting average.
• The right-hander picked up his fourth quality start in 2025 with a career outing against No. 13 UCLA in the championship game of the Big Ten Tournament last season.
• Horn blanked the 13th-ranked Bruins and allowed just three hits in a career-high eight innings with six strikeouts and three walks while allowing just one baserunner to reach third base.
Going the Extra Mile
• The Huskers have recorded at least four extra-base hits in 117 games under head coach Will Bolt, posting a 92-24-1 mark in those games since 2020.
• Additionally, the Big Red are 61-9-1 when the Husker offense tallies five-plus extra-base hits under Bolt.
Carey Nearing All-Time Doubles Record
• With 50 career doubles in four seasons at Nebraska, Dylan Carey needs seven doubles to become the program's all-time leader.
• Carey is fifth all-time after recording two doubles in last weekend's Amegy Bank College Baseball Series at Globe Life Field.
• The Castle Rock, Colo., native is three shy of tying Alex Gordon (2003-05) in fourth and five away from Daniel Bruce (2002-05) and Matt Hopper (2000-03) in second.
Carey Closing in on 200-Career Hit Club
• Dylan Carey enters the weekend with 196 hits, putting him four hits shy of becoming the 28th member of Nebraska's 200-hit club.
• Carey has averaged 62 hits over the last two seasons, which would put him just outside NU's all-time top 10 if he were to reach that average in 2026.
• The Huskers have had four players join the 200-hit club since 2015, including second-round draft picks Max Anderson (2021-23) and Ryan Boldt (2014-16).
Bats in the Husker Lineup
• Mac Moyer has appeared in all seven games, making four starts, and is batting .438 with two doubles while drawing a team-best eight walks on the year.
• Jett Buck is third on the team with a .414 batting average and has doubled three times with five RBI and four runs scored in seven starts.
• Case Sanderson has scored a team-best eight runs and is second on the team with seven walks drawn while hitting .360 at the plate with three doubles.

• Ryan Harrahill has made a team-high three relief appearances this season, allowing a run on two hits with four strikeouts in 5.2 innings of work.
• Chase Olson is 1-0 in two relief appearances and has pitched 2.1 scoreless innings with three punchouts.
• J'Shawn Unger has recorded a 2.70 ERA in two relief outings, surrendering a run on one hit and three strikeouts in 3.1 innings, while Kevin Mannell has a 3.38 ERA and a save in 2.2 innings across a trio of relief outings.
