Huskers Earn Bid to NCAA Championships

The Nebraska women’s gymnastics team was selected to be a part of the Baton Rouge regional of the 2026 NCAA Championships, as the NCAA announced the field on Monday.

This marks the 41st time the Big Red has earned an NCAA Championship berth, and the fourth straight as a team. The team is coming off a 12th-place finish at the Big Ten Championships and a score of 195.075.

The NCAA Championships is set for April 1-5 at four different host sites. NU was placed in the first round of the regional and will compete in a dual meet against Air Force.

The winner of the matchup will face off against No. 2 LSU, No. 15 Clemson and No. 17 Auburn.

The top two teams from each session of the LSU regional will qualify for the regional finals, and the top two teams from the regional finals will qualify for the championship round, which takes place April 16-18 in Fort Worth, Texas.

The other three regional sites are Corvallis, Ore., Lexington, Ky. and Tempe, Ariz.
