The Huskers will showcase their newly renovated outdoor track facilities this Friday, April 3, as they host the Husker Spring Kickoff.
Due to the weather, the meet has been combined into one day of competition opening with field events at 12 p.m. and running events to begin at 12:30 p.m.
Additionally, eight Husker distance athletes will travel to Palo Alto, California to compete in the Stanford Invitational for two days of outdoor competition.

Hurricane Collegiate Invitational Recap
The Huskers return to Lincoln with six event titles after a weekend of competition at the Hurricane Collegiate Invitational in Miami, Fla. These titles were spread across five athletes highlighted by Xavier Bogan winning both the men’s long jump and triple jump titles.
Noa Isaia started day one of competition in dominant fashion winning the men’s hammer throw title with a throw of 66.99m (219-9), good for fourth in school history. Seth Schnakenberg (65.80m, 215-10) wasn’t far behind, finishing in second and moving up to sixth all time.
Arina Razina shot up the school record books in the first outdoor meet of the season clearing a personal best 4.32m (14-2) to win the pole vault title and sit in a tie for third all time.
Dyson Wicker continued his winning ways from the indoor season, clearing 5.52m (18-1 ¾) en route to a men’s pole vault event title.
Continuing the winning on day two, Hencu Lamberts won the men’s shot put title, throwing a lifetime best of 19.23m (63-1 ¼).
Many Huskers tabbed their names in NU history this past weekend. In her first collegiate competition, Taysha Stubbs threw the fourth furthest javelin mark in school history (56.34m, 184-10), earning second in the women’s javelin invite.
Jolina Lange added her name to the school record books as well, throwing 17.30m (56-9 ¼), good for seventh all-time and a second-place finish in the women’s shot put invite.
