Senior Callin Hake captured Nebraska's most prestigious Life Skills Awards when she was named a Heart & Soul Award winner at "A Night at the Lied" earlier this week.
Hake, a 5-9 guard from Victoria, Minn., was one of the most involved Huskers in the community during her four seasons on the Husker women's basketball team. The past two years, she served as President of the Nebraska Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, and as the chair of the Big Ten Student-Athlete Issues Commission in 2025-26.
Nebraska's Big Ten Outstanding Sportsmanship Award winner across all women's sports following the 2024-25 season, she was a two-time Big Ten Sportsmanship Award winner for women's basketball. She earned a prestigious Sam Foltz 27 Hero Leadership Award in 2024 and was a four-time member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.
An outstanding worker on the court and in the classroom as well, Hake was a captain for a 2026 Husker team that advanced to its third consecutive NCAA Tournament. She averaged 7.2 points, 2.5 rebounds and 3.6 assists while starting all 32 games. She also set a Nebraska school record by drawing 33 offensive fouls. Her 2.3 assist-to-turnover ratio also ranked near the top in the Big Ten this season.
Her 131 career games played ranked her among the top 10 players in Husker history, while her 154 career three-pointers ranked just outside NU's career top 10.
A two-time Nebraska women's basketball Lifter of the Year (2023, 2025), Hake was a three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection while double-majoring in management and marketing at Nebraska. She was also a three-time College Sports Communicators Academic All-District VII choice (2024, 2025, 2026) and a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar (2025).
Hake was one of five Heart & Soul Award winners across all Husker sports in 2025-26, joining Michael Booker III (football), Katelyn Caneda (softball), Jagger Condomitti (wrestling) and Camilla Johannessen (rifle).
Hake's Husker teammate Natalie Potts also earned Life Skills recognition at A Night at the Lied by capturing a Sam Foltz 27 Hero Leadership Award.
