Ohio State scored all of its runs with two outs, as No. 16 Nebraska fell 7-3 at Ohio State on Saturday night at Bill Davis Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.

Nebraska (34-13, 17-6 Big Ten) scored three runs on four hits and no errors, while Ohio State (23-21, 12-11 Big Ten) tallied seven runs on seven hits and one error.

Case Sanderson went 2-for-4 with an RBI to lead the Husker offense, and Drew Grego drove in two runs. Jett Buck added a double and scored one, and Will Jesske had a hit.

Gavin Blachowicz took the loss, dropping to 4-2 after allowing four runs in 4.2 innings. Caleb Clark surrendered one run in 1.1 innings, and Tucker Timmerman gave up a pair of runs in two innings to close it out.

Ohio State jumped out to a three-run lead behind a pair of hits in the bottom of the first. The Buckeyes had the bases loaded after two singles and walk, while a bases-clearing triple to the wall in right field had Ohio State up 3-1 through one inning.

The Huskers scratched across a run in the top of the third to cut the deficit to two. Moyer reached on an error and Jeter Worthley was hit by a pitch to put runners on first and second with two outs. Sanderson ripped an RBI single up the middle to score Moyer from second and bring the Big Red within 3-1.

Ohio State immediately got the run back with a two-out solo homer in the bottom of the third to extend the lead to 4-1.

Buck opened the seventh with a leadoff double to left field and came around to score on Grego’s RBI groundout to send a 4-2 game into the bottom of the seventh.

The Buckeyes responded with a run in the bottom of the seventh and two more in the eighth to make it a 7-2 game through eight innings. An RBI single in the bottom of the seventh grew the lead back to three, while a two-run homer to right field gave Ohio State a five-run lead.

Nebraska loaded the bases with no outs in the top of the ninth after walks to Dylan Carey, Jesske and Buck. Grego was plunked to plate Carey, while the next two Huskers were retired to preserve Ohio State’s 7-3 win on Saturday night.
