Jasa, Carey Earn ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Honors

Nebraska’s Carson Jasa and Dylan Carey earned All-Central Region honors from the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings, the organization announced Tuesday.

Jasa earned first-team recognition from the ABCA, while Carey garnered second-team praise as a shortstop from the organization. The Husker duo is the fifth and six all-region selections under head coach Will Bolt.

Jasa emerged as the Huskers’ ace during the 2026 campaign, becoming the third Nebraska starting pitcher to earn first-team All-Big Ten honors since 2021. The right-hander finished the year with a 10-2 record, becoming the 13th NU pitcher in program history to reach the 10-win mark in a season, including the first since Johnny Dorn in 2007.

The Thornton, Colo., native posted a 3.59 ERA with two complete games and 117 strikeouts across 87.2 innings while holding opponents to a .210 batting average. The 117 punchouts are the fifth most by a Husker pitcher in a season in program history. Jasa recorded 10 starts with at least eight strikeouts, including a career-high 11 strikeouts against Penn State and 10 punchouts against Indiana and Maine.

Coming off a stellar senior campaign that saw him earn Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year and first-team All-Big Ten honors, Carey turned in a .353 batting average with 16 doubles, two triples, 15 home runs, 65 RBI and 53 runs scored. The Brooks Wallace Award finalist became the program’s all-time leader in career doubles this season and is the ninth Husker in program history to reach 200 career hits, 150 runs and 150 RBI.

Carey was equally impressive in the field, committing just four errors in 216 chances for a .981 fielding percentage while turning 29 double plays at shortstop.
