Cohen Claims Top CSC Academic Honor

Asher Cohen was named the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America Team Member of the Year for Division I Men's At-Large on July 8, 2026. The honor comes after Cohen earned his third career selection to the CSC Academic All-America At-Large Team following his NCAA championship on rings in 2026.

A native of Colorado, Cohen was a second-team Academic All-American in 2025 and a third-team selection in 2024. He graduated with a 3.97 GPA and a degree in biological sciences. Cohen was also one of 42 recipients of the NCAA Winter Postgraduate Scholarship. A three-time Big Ten Distinguished Scholar (2024, 2025 and 2026), he was also recognized as Nebraska's Outstanding Scholar in 2026.

Cohen capped his collegiate career with 10 individual event titles, including eight on rings and two on parallel bars. He captured rings titles at both the 2026 Big Ten Championships and the 2026 NCAA Championships. In addition, he was named Nebraska's Most Outstanding Male Athlete and the College Gymnastics Association Specialist of the Year in 2026.

Cohen will continue training with the goal of earning a spot on the U.S. National Team while pursuing graduate school to further his academic career.
