A trio of Nebraska women's basketball players have collected some preseason attention as the Huskers open practice this week in Lincoln.
First-team All-Big Ten point guard Britt Prince and Husker senior Logan Nissley were listed among the top 16 returning players in the country based on three-point field goal percentage (min. 2.5 attempts per game).
Prince, a junior from Omaha, was the top shooter among all returning Power Four players, hitting 45.7 percent (42-92) of her threes a year ago when she led Nebraska in scoring (17.9 ppg), assists (4.4 apg) and steals (1.5 spg).
Prince, who also led the Big Ten in free throw percentage (.912), while hitting 53.5 percent of her shots overall from the field, was joined on the list of elite three-point shooters by Nissley. The 6-0 shooting guard from Bismarck, N.D., ranked 16th overall and ninth among Power Four players after hitting 43.3 percent (65-150) of her threes a year ago.
Nissley, who led the Big Red with 65 made threes as a junior, has climbed to No. 6 on Nebraska's career three-point list with 179 entering her fourth season in Lincoln. Nissley ranked third in the Big Ten and 12th in the NCAA a year ago based on official minimums of 2.0 made threes per game.
Nissley is officially the No. 2 returning long-range shooter in the Big Ten from last season, trailing only Iowa's Chazadi Wright (.440, 70-159).
Nissley and Prince helped the Huskers rank third in the Big Ten with 7.88 made threes per game last season.
In mid-August, Nebraska senior Natalie Potts was listed among the top 10 women's basketball players to watch in 2026-27 by BustingBrackets.com.
Potts, a 6-2 forward from O'Fallon, Mo., missed all of last season while recovering from a leg injury suffered in late November of her sophomore season. The 2024 Big Ten Freshman of the Year, Potts was averaging team bests of 17.5 points and 8.0 rebounds in the four games ahead of her injury.
The other players on the list from around the country included JuJu Watkins (USC), Clara Strack (Kentucky), Emilee Skinner (Duke), Blanca Quinonez (UConn), Kaety L'Amoreaux (Fairfield), Taryn & Taylor Barbot (Pitt), Kate Harpring (North Carolina) and Talaysia Cooper (Ole Miss).
