Lettered in baseball, soccer and basketball at Hayden Catholic High School. • Set career school records in strikeouts and wins and single-season records in strikeouts and earned run average. • Two-time all-state player in baseball while earning all-league honors in three seasons. • As a senior, went 8-1 with 100 strikeouts in 55 innings pitched and batted .568 at the plate while helping the Wildcats to a league championship. • Led the Wildcats to a state championship as a junior, posting a .515 batting average and striking out 127 hitters in 69 innings. • Went 5-2 on the mound and hit .510 at the plate as a sophomore after going 5-2 with 60 punchouts in freshman campaign. • Also was a first-team all-league player in soccer.
