Made 15 appearances on the mound, starting in four games for the Huskers. • Went 1-0 with a 5.55 ERA and one save. • Totaled 16 strikeouts in 24.1 innings. • Pitched season-high four innings in starts against South Dakota State and Wichita State. • Tossed four scoreless frames against the Jackrabbits. • Allowed one run across three hits in four innings against the Shockers. • Had six outings with at least two strikeouts, including season-high three punchouts at Wichita State. • Picked up a win in relief outing at Minnesota.

Made 20 appearances on the mound in first season at Nebraska. • One of five NU pitchers with at least 20 appearances on the season. • Went 2-0 with a 5.76 ERA. • Totaled 16 strikeouts in 25 innings. • Limited opposing hitters to a .257 batting average. • Pitched at least two innings in six outings. • Threw a season-high 2.2 innings at Creighton and saw 2.1 innings of action against UCLA. • Tossed two innings vs. UC Irvine, USC, Kansas and Purdue. • Recorded season-high three strikeouts at Creighton. • Struck out two batters vs. Louisiana, Kansas, Minnesota and Purdue.

Edmond North High School
Tabbed the No. 70 shortstop nationally and the No. 1 shortstop and No. 6 overall prospect in the state of Oklahoma by Prep Baseball Report. • Lettered in football and baseball as a multi-sport athlete at Edmond North High School. • Earned all-state recognition and was COAC Pitcher of the Year as a senior. • Led team to regional championship in junior season. • On the gridiron, set single-season and career school records for passing yards, pass completions and passing touchdowns.

Parents are Gabe and Michelle Bender. • Has one brother, Gavin. • Father, Gabe, played college baseball at Hardin-Simmons. • Mother, Michelle, played college volleyball at Hardin-Simmons. • Majoring in accounting.
