Was a solid clutch performer, hitting .294 with runners in scoring position ? Barton County Community College/Lincoln Southeast High School: Christy spent two seasons at Barton County Community College playing for Coach Mike Warren ? Was a first-team All-Jayhawk League selection and was named the conference’s Defensive Player of the Year after hitting .390 with six homers, 26 doubles, 45 RBIs and 46 runs scored ? Threw out nearly 40 percent of would-be base runners and committed one error in 375 chances in helping BCCC to a 37-18 record and a second-place conference finish in 2004 ? Hit .333 with five homers and 34 RBIs, while being tabbed an honorable-mention All-Jayhawk West pick as a freshman ? Was a 49th-round pick by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2002 MLB First-Year Player Draft after a decorated career at Lincoln Southeast High School for Coach Randy Brolhorst ? Garnered first-team All-Nebraska honors from the Omaha World-Herald and Lincoln Journal Star, posting a .430 average with four homers and 41 RBIs ?
