2013: Senior
Morgan Broekhuis was one of three captains on the 2013 squad as she helped lead a young Husker team in her final season with NU • Saw playing time in 17 matches in 2013 • Was named to the Capital One Academic All-District 7 volleyball team and earned Academic All-Big Ten honors.

2013 Sand Season
Broekhuis posted an 8-4 record with parnters Kadie Rolfzen and Sheridan Zarda during Nebraska's inaugural sand season.

2012: Junior
Broekhuis helped the Huskers to a second-place finish in the Big Ten in 2012 • Named to the CoSIDA Academic Second-Team District Seven squad • Earned Academic All-Big Ten honors • Averaged 2.73 kills, 0.19 aces, 1.34 digs and 0.64 blocks per set on the season • Posted 75 total assists in 2012 and notched at least five assists on five occasions • Proved key for the Huskers in their win over defending NCAA Champion UCLA, notching 15 kills against the Bruins and the final two kills of the fifth set to seal the victory • Also recorded four service aces against Notre Dame • Was solid for the Huskers against UC Irvine, recording 16 kills on 29 swings for a .517 hitting percentage • Finished with 15 kills on 36 swings (.306) against Kentucky, also chipping in two service aces and three block assists • Excelled for the Huskers against Ohio State, notching a team-high 12 kills on 27 swings (.370) • Led the Huskers against Michigan, recording a team-leading 16 kills on 38 swings (.395) and eight blocks • Led the Husker offense against Wisconsin as she had 12 kills on 27 swings (.370) • Powered Nebraska with 10 kills and a .375 hitting percentage along with two aces and five block assists against Iowa, while putting up 10 kills and three aces against Illinois • Led Nebraska against Ohio State, recording 19 kills and a career-high 16 digs • Led Nebraska against Indiana, totaling 19 kills and a .429 hitting percentage • Had 12 kills and a hitting percentage of .440 against Wisconsin on Nov. 18 • Led Nebraska in the NCAA second-round match up with Northern Iowa, posting 10 kills and a .625 hitting percentage • Posted nine kills and a hitting percentage of .444 against Washington in the NCAA Regional Semifinal • Recorded 16 kills and six digs in a four-set loss to Oregon in the NCAA Regional Final • Was named to the NCAA Omaha Regional All-Tournament Team.

2011: Sophomore
Broekhuis earned honorable-mention All-America recognition in her second year with the Huskers • Also tallied honorable-mention All-Big Ten accolades • Named an AVCA honorable-mention All-Mideast Region selection • Averaged 3.04 kills, 1.58 digs, 0.69 assists and 0.86 blocks per set • Notched six double-doubles on the season • Recorded the first double-double of her career against Iowa State on Sept. 17, with 11 kills and 10 digs • Recorded a career-high 22 kills at Michigan State on Sept. 30 • Opened the season with a career-high 41 attacks against New Mexico State on Aug. 26 • Notched a career-high .692 hitting percentage against Jackson State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament • Recorded a career-high nine blocks twice in 2011, with the last one against St. Mary’s on Sept. 9 • Posted a season-high 11 digs twice in her sophomore season, with the last one coming against top-ranked Illinois on Oct. 22 • Tabbed at least 10 kills on 19 occasions as a sophomore • Notched 18 kills in the Huskers, 3-2 season-opening win over New Mexico State • Helped the Huskers defeat St. Mary’s with 17 kills • Made her Big Ten debut with 12 kills and 11 digs against Penn State on Sept. 21 • Posted 22 kills on a .545 hitting percentage against Michigan State • Had 17 kills, 11 digs and a hitting percentage of .444 in the Huskers’ upset of then-No. 1 Illinois on Oct. 22 • Followed that performance with 18 kills and a .359 hitting percentage against Ohio State on Oct. 28 • Recorded a hitting percentage of .300 or better eight times • Produced solid assist numbers for the Huskers, recording at least one in all but three matches • Produced a career-high six assists twice in 2011, with the last coming against Minnesota on Nov. 16 • Named to the Ameritas Players Challenge All-Tournament Team • Honored as the MVP on the MCM Elegante Lobo Classic All-Tournament team • Earned academic All-Big Ten accolades.

2010: Freshman
Broekhuis saw significant time at right side in Nebraska’s 6-2 rotation as she played in 31 matches, including 14 starts • Was selected to the U.S. National A2 Program during the spring of 2011 • Earned a unanimous Big 12 All-Freshman Team selection after hitting .300 or better in 15 matches, while averaging 2.21 kills and 0.67 blocks per set on the year • Ended the season with 11 kills on 34 swings against Washington in the Seattle Regional on Dec. 10 • Hit .412 with eight kills and one error on 17 swings against Auburn on Dec. 3 • Opened the NCAA Tournament with a career-best .615 (8-0-13) hitting performance and four blocks in a sweep of Sacred Heart on Dec. 2 • Hit .300 or better in each of the final five Big 12 Conference matches • Helped the Huskers secure their 12th Big 12 title with 10 kills and two blocks at Texas A&M on Nov. 27 • Hit .412 (9-2-17) in back-to-back matches against Oklahoma on Nov. 17 and Baylor on Nov. 24 • Tied her career high in blocks with four in a road sweep of Texas Tech on Nov. 6 • Hit over .500 for the first time in her career on Nov. 3 with a .538 performance on eight kills and one error in 13 swings • Had eight kills on 18 swings (.389) the previous night in a sweep of Iowa State at the NU Coliseum • Swung at a season-high 39 balls and produced 10 kills in a four-set loss at Texas on Oct. 27 • Tied her season-high in kills with 13 on 30 swings in a four-set home win over Texas on Oct. 2 • Put away eight kills during a five-set win over No. 3 Illinois at the Devaney Center on Sept. 11 • Posted 13 kills and four blocks in a four-set win over BYU at the BYU Nike Invitational on Sept. 3 • Opened her collegiate career with six kills and three blocks in a sweep of Kentucky at the Runza/AVCA Showcase on Aug. 28.

High School
Broekhuis was one of the top seniors in the country playing for her father, Mike, at Colorado Springs Christian School • Named the ESPN Rise National High School Player of the Year and ranked as the No. 2 senior nationally by Prepvolleyball.com after leading Christian to a 30-0 record and sixth consecutive state title • Totaled 465 kills, 411 assists, 40 blocks, 167 digs and 30 aces while running a 6-2 offense, as her team dropped just four sets all season • Was a two-time Gatorade Player of the Year in Colorado and was the Denver Post Player of the Year as a senior • Selected a 2009 AVCA High School All-American and played in the Under Armour High School All-America match in Tampa • Earned player-of-the-year honors for the first time following a junior year when she recorded 474 kills, 440 assists and 201 digs • Earned first-team all-state honors all four years in high school and was a three-time Class 3A state tournament MVP • Selected to the 2009 U.S. Junior National Team, starting several matches at opposite on a team of top seniors and college-level players • Excelled in the classroom, as she finished her high school career with a 4.14 GPA • Looked at Texas and Washington before selecting to become a Husker • Comes from an athletic background, as her mother and father both played college sports while her older brother (Taylor) was a center on the Air Force Academy basketball team.
