2023-24 (Freshman)
Stepping into a starting role as a freshman, Brenna Hartzler was the only member of the Husker team to compete in every single game at every tournament this season. Hartzler began her collegiate career with a second-place finish at the Motiv Penguin Classic, along with three other top-10 finishes at the SFA Ladyjack Classic, Prairie View A&M Invite and the Flyer Classic. Hartzler also received two national honors at the end of her first season, earning First-Team All-Rookie Region selection and Honorable Mention NTCA All-American Honors. Off the lanes, Hartzler excelled both in the community and classroom earning a spot on the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team (2024) as well as Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll selection.

Before Nebraska 

A graduate of Smithville High School, Hartzler was an eight-time JTBA champion, a nine-time MJMA U20 champion and a three-time Great Lakes Junior Gold Tour champion. As the top recruit in her class, Hartzler is a two-time Ohio Pepsi District Champion, a five-time NWIJTPA champion and was named the NWIJTPA Player of the Year for the 2020-2021 season. During the 2021-2022 season, Hartzler was named the MJMA and JTBA Player of the Year, and most recently, she was crowned the MWUSA Mixed Doubles Champion. Hartzler has a high series of 761 and has bowled four perfect games (300).

Personal
The daughter of Al and Julie Hartzler, Brenna’s intended major is Broadcasting. She has one sister, Brittany. Brenna chose Nebraska over Arkansas State, Davenport and McKendree.
