2025-26 (Junior)
Lani Breedlove competed in eight of Nebraska's nine regular-season tournaments as a junior. She traveled to the season-opening Penguin Classic but did not compete. She finished a season-best 15th individually at Destination Orlando, rolling a 199.4 average over five games. She added a 21st-place finish with a 204.0 average at the Colonial Lanes Classic. Breedlove posted a season-best 230.0 average in two games at the Bulldog Classic. She entered the NCAA Pittsburgh Regional with a 201.7 average over 29 games with a total pinfall of 5,777 on the year, including season-high games of 247 at both Destination Orlando and the Bulldog Classic. She bowled in four frames for the Huskers at the regional. She was named to the Academic All-Big Ten for the second consecutive year, CUSA Commissioner's Honor Roll and earned her third spot on the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.
2024-25 (Sophomore)
Breedlove did not compete in her second season as a Husker, but she excelled academically as an NTCA All-Academic Scholar for the second straight season. She was also a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and captured Academic All-Big Ten honors. She claimed spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in both the fall and spring semesters of 2024-25 and earned her second appearance on Nebraska's Tom Osborne Citizenship Team for her work in the community.
2023-24 (Freshman)
Breedlove made her Husker debut by competing in five of Nebraska's nine regular-season tournaments, as well as the postseason NCAA Lansing Regional. Breedlove’s freshman campaign was highlighted by her first MVP honors at the Track Kat Klash, with an 1,130 pinfall total. Breedlove ended the season with a 5,047 pinfall total and a 201.9 average for 25 games. Off the lanes, Breedlove excelled in the classroom as an NTCA All-Academic Scholar. She also earned spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in both the fall and spring semesters. She was also a member of the 2024 Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.
Before Nebraska
A graduate of Oswego High School, Breedlove was a four-time team MVP and all-conference member. She was the rookie of the year in 2020, a three-time member of the IHSA all-state team and received multiple athlete of the week honors white being named athlete of the month. During her high school career, she won numerous IHSA tournament titles and in her senior season, she set the Oswego High School and IHSA tournament record with an 806 series. Additionally, Breedlove was a part of the Illinois State Scholarship Lake Michigan Team for three-straight years, and in 2021, she received the MVP Michigan Cup.
Breedlove also excelled in the classroom as she was a member of the National Honor Society and graduated Summa Cum Laude.
Personal
The daughter of Chris and Michelle Breedlove, Lani has a sister, Brittany, who is a bowler at St. Ambrose. Lani’s intended major is health, nutrition and exercise science. She has earned five spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll. Her current career goal is to become an athletic trainer. She is a three-time member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team and an Academic All-Big Ten for two years running.
