Chynna Hardy was promoted to Director of Capital Planning and Construction in September 2024 after serving as an Asssistant Director of Capital Planning and Construction since 2019. Hardy also serves as the sport administrator for the women's bowling program. Hardy started as a volunteer student worker in 2011 and then transitioned into an intern role for nearly two years. Hardy then worked as a rendering specialist and project manager at All Makes Office Equipment before returning to Nebraska to as a Capital Project Coordinator specializing in Design.
When Hardy rejoined the Capital Planning staff in 2015, first as a project coordinator, then was named an Assistant Director in 2019. In 2022, Hardy was named Secondary Sports Administrator for the Women’s Bowling Program, before being named the Primary Sport Administrator for Bowling in 2023.
Hardy helps ensure that all 22 of Nebraska’s varsity sports have the facilities that help our student athletes compete and train at the highest level. Hardy focuses her attention on implementing and monitoring all phases of a design or construction project which includes budgeting, scheduling, planning, design, documentation, and specifications.
A native of Omaha, Nebraska, Hardy graduated from Nebraska in 2012 with a degree in Interior Design. Hardy and her husband, Jake, were married in 2013, and the couple have three children, Delilah, Cora, and Theo.
