Before Nebraska (Eleanor Roosevelt HS/Idaho)
Andrew Marshall spent two seasons at FCS Idaho before transferring to Nebraska. In his two seasons as a Vandal, Marshall in 26 games with 14 starts and totaled 72 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, eight pass breakups, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. Marshall was also an outstanding returner, returning both a punt and kickoff for a touchdown. He had nine kickoff returns for 373 yards and one touchdown at Idaho, averaging 41.4 yards per return. Marshall also returned 14 punts for 150 yards and one touchdown, averaging 10.7 yards per return.
Marshall made 13 starts as a sophomore in 2024, when Idaho advanced to the quarterfinals of the FCS playoffs. He recorded 50 tackles, 1.0 TFL, three pass breakups, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. As a returner, Marshall had eight kickoff returns for 327 yards and one touchdown and 14 punt returns for 150 yards and one score. Marshall was a first-team All-Big Sky selection as a cornerback, and he earned honorable-mention recognition as a kickoff returner.
In his first season at Idaho in 2023, Marshall played in 13 games with one start. He totaled 22 tackles, a half tackle for loss and five pass breakups. Marshall also had one kickoff return for 46 yards as Idaho advanced to the quarterfinals of the FCS playoffs.
Before joining Idaho, Marshall was a standout two-way player at Eleanor Roosevelt High School in California. He earned first-team all-state honors as a defensive back as a senior when he was also the league defensive MVP.
