2024 (Junior)
Barret Liebentritt played in seven games with one start before suffering a season-ending injury. He has provided solid blocking as a fullback on offense while also being a key member of Nebraska's special teams. Liebentritt made his first start as a Husker at Indiana, and he returned one squib kickoff for eight yards against the Hoosiers. Liebentritt suffered a season-ending injury following the Indiana game.

2023 (Sophomore)
Liebentritt joined the Huskers in the summer of 2023 after transferring from Notre Dame. The Omaha native played in seven games in his first year with the Huskers. He played in each of the first four games of 2023 before suffering an injury that forced him to miss time in the middle of the season. Liebentritt returned to play against Northwestern, Purdue and Wisconsin. 

Before Nebraska (Omaha Skutt Catholic HS/Notre Dame)
Liebentritt was a reserve linebacker in 2021 at Notre Dame, before switching to tight end for his second season with the Irish.  He played in all 13 games in 2022 on the kickoff return unit. 

Liebentritt was a standout performer at Omaha Skutt High School where he was a 2020 second-team All-Nebraska and first-team Class B all-state selection by the Omaha World-Herald. As a senior, Liebentritt rushed for 604 yards and eight touchdowns from his fullback position, and was also Skutt’s leading tackler as a linebacker. Liebentritt played a key role in 2019, helping Skutt to a 13-0 record and Class B state title.   

Personal
Barret is the son of Matt and Caci Liebentritt, and he was born on March 21, 2003. He is majoring in biological sciences and is on track to graduate in May of 2025.
